The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes (CSKT) promote and encourage education beyond high school for Tribal members. The Higher Education Scholarship program is available to any CSKT enrolled member who wished to pursue an undergraduate or graduate level degree in an accredited educational institution in the United States. Scholarship applications are available each year and if you are considering or have thought about college, you are encouraged to apply. Applications become accessible in January, each year, and the deadline is May 1st. Students must read through the Student Policy Handbook to understand how the Higher Education Scholarship program works, the application process and what is expected to continue receiving funding throughout the year and each year they apply.

The 2020-2021 Higher Education deadline has passed. You are still able to submit a late application until October 31, 2020 but you may not qualify for funding during this year. If additional funds are available, after the fall term has ended, a decision will be made at that time. If you have questions or concerns, contact Miranda Burland at (406)675-2700 ext. 1074 or Miranda.Burland@cskt.org.

If you are interested in a Trade or Training School, you may be eligible for the Tribal License Plate Scholarship. This scholarship assists with the cost of registration or tuition for entry into a program. Contact the Scholarship Officer for more information.
